The marine type shell & tube heat exchangers are primarily used as initial or extra heating of lub. oil or fuel oil in ships. Their flexible design and wide heat range (from 3 kw to 500 KW) makes them well suited for any application where backup or booster heating is required or where electric power is the cheapest or only available power source.
