Ship Power Line Communication ShipPLC
ShipPLC (Power Line Communication) is a system that can be used as network system inside a vessel using the power supply cables, and it can be established in short time at low cost when a new network is installed in an old vessel that is not equipped with LAN cable.
ShipPLC offers a network infrastructure not only for communicating within the vessel but also for monitoring of many facilities under the deck using wired and wireless communication network that converges various communication technology such as Wi-Fi.
1) Establishing communication infrastructure for the old vessel without data network.
2) Acquiring vessel equipment data and operation information data.
3) Monitoring temperature and humidity of a refrigerated container ship
4) Monitoring CCTV inside the vessel.
Examples of installation of the network in the vessel.
Excessive labor cost compare to material cost / Excessive installation time / Difficulty in installation / Limitation in ports that can be connected to PC / 100m length limitation / Impossible to install inside the vessel currently under operation.
Example of installation of the network using PLC
Low cost / Easy to install / Reduces installation time / 2km length limitation / 120 user ports from PC connection / Possible to install inside the vessel currently under operation.
