Overview
AST100 is a search and rescue location information transmitting device. (transceiver VHF band to provide the user’s location in an emergency)
AIS-SART is equipped with the mandatory requirements to ship on October 2007 the IMO, the relevant technical standards (IMO resolution MSC.246 (83)), and regulations for the Safety of Life at Sea Convention (SOLAS).
The basic function of the AIS-SART by sending a distress signal with his position on the adjacent vessels and land-based AIS (Automatic Identification System) device to deliver a state of emergency.
