MSL Compressor, Carrying on the Technology and Experience Accumulated over 40 Years

MSL Compressor was founded in 1974 by Chairman Sung Se-je of Myeongsuri Manufacturing. Drawing on the technology and experience accumulated by the company's past executives and employees over the past 40 years, we are proud to present safe and user-friendly quality products.

Introduction to Myeongsuri Manufacturing

In 1965, after the Korean War, Chairman Sung Se-je started a machine repair business in the Cheonggyecheon industrial belt. Using the know-how he acquired, he founded Myeongsuri Manufacturing in 1974. At the time, there was no domestic machinery manufacturing base in Korea, and imported products from Japan, Germany, and the US were being used, along with military machinery replacing industrial machinery in the nascent industrial era. By analyzing the operating principles and pros and cons of foreign products, Myeongsuri became the first in Korea to develop and manufacture a two-stage high-pressure piston compressor (15 kg/cm2).

As the industry developed, in the late 1980s, Myeongsuri completed the development of an ultra-high pressure 200 kg/cm2 compressor, and began supplying to the Republic of Korea Special Forces and the defense sector, as well as other industries. In the late 1990s, Myeongsuri became the first in Korea to develop a 300 kg/cm2 piston compressor, providing the core compression technology for the development of the Korean industry. In 2011, Myeongsuri became the first in Korea and the second in the world to develop and commercialize a 700 kg/cm2 multi-stage compression piston compressor, supplying it to the POSCO Group, marking a new milestone in ultra-high pressure compression. Myeongsuri has also provided numerous products for the clean natural gas compression sector.

From Myeongsuri Manufacturing to MSL Compressor

In 2005, Myeongsuri Manufacturing changed its name to MSL Compressor, using the first letters of its Korean name. MSL Compressor now owns core technologies for high-quality, high-purity gas compression and filtration devices, applying them to industrial gas compression to provide oil-free, high-purity air and gas compressors. Our unwavering efforts for quality have been recognized with the Presidential Citation in 2001, the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award in 2011, and the Quality Award in 2012 and 2013. We have also secured the most quality and technology certifications in the industry, ensuring the reliability of our products.

As of 2014, we have accumulated sales of about 100,000 units in the domestic and overseas markets. Focusing more on customer convenience than company profits, and with sincerity and honesty, many customers who previously used products from other domestic and foreign companies have learned about us through word-of-mouth and are highly satisfied with our products.
