Dynamic Positioning System
Dynamic positioning (DP) is a computer-controlled system to automatically maintain a vessel’s position and heading by using its own propellers and thrusters. Position reference sensors, combined with wind sensors, motion sensors and gyro compasses, provide information to the computer pertaining to the vessel's position and the magnitude and direction of environmental forces affecting its position. The Bridge Mate Dynamic positioning concept consists of a number of DP and joystick systems designed to meet the IMO-MSC/Circ. 645 guidelines for vessels with dynamic positioning systems and other relevant classification notations.
PRS System ( Position Reference Sensor)
RADASCAN
• DP system or radar-based high-quality position reference sensor for controlling ships
• High-accuracy local sensor system with an adjustment range of 10-1,000m
• Supplement GPS / DGPS for local-area work, overcome limitations of operation of traditional lasers and taut-wire systems
• Including sensors of ships in operation, control/ display PC installed with DP control systems, and retroreflection answering machines placed on one or more installed targets
• Calculate ships’ locations after detecting accurate ranges and directions from measurement targets
CYSCAN
• High-performance local position sensors for all ships
• High-performance local position sensors designed as maritime DP systems
• Measure ranges and directions of reflective systems and then calculate ship positions and stem directions
• Main or back-up sensors compatible with almost all types of ships
