Overhead optical cables are suitable for overhead wires such as telephone poles. They are classified into Figure 8 type, ADSS, and Lashing type products according to overhead environment. A variety of structures is feasible according to usage environment and customer needs.
Types and purposes
• F8 type
- Self-supporting overhead wire cable
- Long-distance transmission and subscriber network, broadband network
• ADSS (All Dielectric Self-Supporting)
- Non-metal self-supporting overhead wire cable
- Long-distance transmission and subscriber network, broadband network
• Lashing type
- Overhead wire cable routed through a separate messenger wire
- Long-distance transmission and subscriber network, broadband network
Benefits
• F8 type
- The cable includes a self-supporting wire, enabling easy routing and cost reduction
• ADSS
- Easy routing and suitable for all overhead wires
- Non-metal structure, enabling routing with power lines
- Cable protection through an anti-tracking material, which is applied to the cable jacket and ultra-high-voltage lines
• Lashing type
- Routing for a wide variety of cables is feasible, using messenger wires
Main functions
• F8 type
- Applicable to multiple core optical fibers
- Armored with metal tape and flat FRP for protection against hot weather
• ADSS
- Applicable to multiple core optical fibers
- Can be armored on demand with metal tape and flat FRP for protection against hot weather
- Lightweight cables and easy routing through PP tubes and white low-density jelly (PFMTM jelly)
- App-dry structure with no jelly filling on the tube and cable core is applicable
• Lashing type
- Applicable to multiple core optical fibers
- Applicable to various structures according to usage environment and customer needs
