When loading large BLOCKs that weigh around 1000TONs or DECK HOUSEs, loading with 2 directly connected 600TON G/Cs is hard on the CRANE as the weight is heavy itself and the distance between LUGs are short, not to mention the problem that excessive weight is focused on one of the CRANEs. As the picture below shows, by connecting the UPPER TROLLEIES with LIFTING BEAMs, and connecting the L/B’s HOOK with the LOWER TROLLEY’s HOOK, through an interlocked symmetric combination a larger amount of weight is loadable without burdening the CRANE.
The following image is 2 pre-existing 300TON LIFTING BEAMs linked with 2 500TON BLOCK LOADERsbeing used. The capacity has increased from 450TON to 650TON and through improvement by enlargement, loading of A.P.M CONT’ & LNG T-BHD became enable so the productivity has increased.
