Features

“TRUNNION BALL GUIDE, TOP ENTRY SOFT SEATED & CASITNG DESIGN”

The TWS Series Uni-Piece, Full/ Reduced port, Flanged/ Welded end, trunnion mounted ball valves are designed, constructed and tested strictly in accordance with the latest international standards of API, ASME, BS, and DIN.

On soft seated ball valves a resilient seat seal is inserted into the seat ring to provide a secondary soft seating in addition to the primary metal to metal seating between the ball and the seat. The sealing between the seat and the seat housing shoulders is achieved by the means of O-rings. Graphite gaskets and/or spring energized lip seals are used for special applications.

FORCE Trunnion mounted ball valves employ a sealing principle that facilitates all services requiring double block and bleed integrity. They are designed, constructed and tested as a standard for SPE according to API 6D

SPE(Single Piston Effect) ; In this case the pressure acting on the external side of the seat ring results in a force pushing the same against the ball while the pressure acting on the internal side of the seat rings results in a force pushing the same away from the ball.

DPE(Double Piston Effect) On request, the seat rings design may be modified to perform the "DOUBLE PISTON EFFECT" action. In this case the pressure acting on both the external and internal side of the seat rings, results in a force pushing the

same againsed the ball. Therefore, each seat ring grants the required tightness even if the pressure is applied in the body cavity.

This feature adds an extra sealing feature to the valve, but to release the possible over pressure developed into the body cavity it may be necessary to use an external safety relief valve.

Materials include forged carbon steel, low-temperature carbon steel, stainless steel, Monel, Hastelloy, Alloy 20 and others as required. These materials are compliance with NACE standard MR 0175 specifications.
